![]() While the pineapple flavor could be slightly stronger, this hard seltzer is still a fantastic choice for those seeking a unique and tropical twist on their seltzer experience…and it says HARD on the can. The packaging is visually appealing, with vibrant colors and a sleek design. The fusion of Mountain Dew’s signature taste with the lightness of a seltzer (and yellow #5#5or the guys…#5creates a flavor profile that is both nostalgic and refreshing. The pineapple flavor is vibrant and authentic, offering a tropical escape with every sip….or an alcohol fueled weekend tbat you wont remember. But if you’re not a fan of watermelon or that aspartame aftertaste isn’t for you, then you’ll want to leave this one on the shelf.Review: Mountain Dew Baja Blast Hard Seltzer, Pineapple Flavor Rating: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ The Mountain Dew Baja Blast Hard Seltzer in Pineapple flavor is a refreshing and innovative twist on a classic beverage. One of the many drinks that “I’ll finish the can, but I won’t get any more.” If you’re a fan of artificial watermelon flavor and wish they had more drinks that tasted like it, you can go seek it out. The aspartame aftertaste does linger a bit as well.Īll in all, I’d say this is alright. It is a good hit of flavor, like one would expect from a Mountain Dew product, and as I mentioned before it is very sweet. I’m not entirely sure it’s for me, but it’s not terrible either. This really is a bit more like if you properly diluted Watermelon Pop Rocks into water and drank it. I wouldn’t say that it’s like biting into an actual watermelon. That’s the one thing with Watermelon flavor. The watermelon flavor, itself, isn’t too overpowering. I wonder if some of that is to keep the drink Zero Calorie, as it’d be hard to de-calorify (is that a word? Probably not) natural juices. While some of the other Amp sodas are “sparkling juice beverages,” Watermelon Shock is an “energy drink with other flavors.” So, PepsiCo is switching things up on us a little. It’s also interesting that they list natural flavor, but the soda itself isn’t said to contain any juice. It’s actually weird to see the sweetener listed so far down, as with regular Zero, it was higher up on the ingredients list than it is in Diet Dew. The ingredients lists natural flavor as item 3 and aspartame as item 6. Taking a sip, there’s a lot of sweetness there. But nope, just like an actual watermelon, it’s green outside and red inside. I was wondering if the soda would be the same. I was actually curious, since the can is sort of a seafoam green looking color. ![]() Pouring out the soda into my favorite glass, the drink is a rather light pink. It was a little uncanny and scary, actually. I can’t say the last time I had Watermelon Pop Rocks, but as soon as the scent hit my nose, the recognition was instantaneous. But, before I can taste it, I need to pour it.Īs I opened the can, a second later, I got they very strong scent of Watermelon Pop Rocks. And both of those can be somewhat-cloyingly sweet. The only thing I can think of is Jolly Ranchers and Pop Rocks. Or really too many watermelon-flavored anything. I’m starting off with Charged Watermelon Shock because a friend of mine was more-curious about it. But does that mean they’re any good? I’m here to find out. That’s not such a problem here, as these are entirely different flavors from the other Game Fuel products. In that review, I wasn’t sure why the soda existed in the first place. Juan Jordn Saiz Works Hard and Plays Hard Vincent Daniel Found a Job that. Obviously, from the name, they are keeping with the Zero formula that they recently rolled out for Original Recipe Dew. But, as I was walking into Publix to get wings for yesterday’s Wing Review, I happened to see a display holding these new flavors (actually, I damn-near walked right past it, since I was so focused on getting wings). This was rather unexpected, as I didn’t realize there were going to be a couple new flavors of Game Fuel hitting store shelves. ![]() Hello, everyone, and welcome back to another Dew Review.
